After graduating from the prestigious ArtCenter College of design with a double major in art and film, Steven began his fine art career as an assistant to Ben Shonzeit, one of the original photorealist painters. He learned his craft from him. His work is different from other photorealist artists because he uses a collage of images to create more meaning in the work.
